Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first gymnast to earn a 10. a competition at the Olympics. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics trainer who became Comaneci's coach in later years, discovered her at age six. Comaneci was the first to compete for time in the 1969 national junior championships. She finished 13th. The following year she was crowned champion. In 1972, in a meet of communist countries junior athletes before the Olympics she won three gold medals. After that, in 1973 and '74 she was the all-around junior champ. She took home four gold medals and one silver in her debut competition as a senior, held in 1975. It was the first time she participated as a senior. In 1976, she became the first female athlete in the world to use a backwards-double salto to dismount from parallel bars. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol was a professional as an entertainer as a teen. The path she took to success began when she joined her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling spectacle of entertainment. They featured staged ice skating performance.
